Is it wise to move from being a 13-year SQL Server DBA role to an SAP FICO consultant or a full-time SAP FICO consultant employee?

You can be a technical SAP consultant programming UI5 (SAP FIORI) Odata, BI, Basis, Data Administrator, Data Warehousing, etc.

Those would be the best fit for you (I assume that you are an IT Graduate)

The best FI/CO Consultants are accountants - who can quickly understand and configure the Financial Accounting, Cost Controlling, Balance Sheet, Profit/Loss Statements, Material Ledger, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Asset Depreciation, etc.
